Boris, a grumpy dog, and Rufus, an excited ferret who believes he is a dog. They both live in Enzo's backyard, who is in love with his neighbor, Jennifer, who owns an internet-famous cat, the insufferable Leopoldo.

In the absence of their owners, animals stop behaving like simple pets. They use electronic devices, access the “interpetnet” (the animal web), play video games and get up to all sorts of mischief.

The conflicts between Boris and Rufus' personalities and their contact with fantastic beings and objects make them embark on great adventures, which can go far beyond the “real” world.
