Synopsis
Lutz & Gandalina is an adventure-comedy animated series aimed at children aged 6 to 9, with a first season planned for 26 episodes of 11 minutes each. The story follows Gandalina, an intelligent and skilled 11-year-old girl (though a bit too brave), and Lutz, a fearful and clumsy laboratory-created homunculus.
Gandalina is an orphan who has always dreamed of becoming one of the king’s knights – something that, unfortunately, “was not for girls.” Still, she never paid any attention to that. The story begins when Gandalina runs away from the orphanage in pursuit of her dream, frees Lutz from the clutches of the alchemist Dalibor, and defeats the Winged Crocodile of Salone. By doing so, she earns the title of knight, but also realizes that following the king’s wishes would mean no longer following her own.
So Gandalina, together with her loyal squire Lutz, sets out to face a world full of adventures that blend the medieval with the magical: vain alchemists, flying crocodiles, manipulative sorcerers, witch hunters, and even the Queen of the Volcanoes herself! All the while, they stumble upon mysteries that can quite literally turn their world upside down, and learn important lessons about courage, trust, and self-confidence.
