After losing his home in the 1929 flood, Machado, a driver and unofficial detective, becomes obsessed with Bright, a British corporation he suspects of being responsible. On the night he would finally expose the wrongdoers, a masked criminal accompanied by a sentient robot commits a massacre – stealing all of Machado’s credit but giving rise to a new ambition: capturing São Paulo’s greatest mystery, the Crime Claw.

Meanwhile, in the Liberdade district, a police officer and member of the powerful militia family Lee discovers a network of underground galleries stretching beneath São Paulo, unknown even to the government. From that moment, Dani Lee becomes certain of his plan: he would grow rich by trafficking through them. However, one of his shipments of weapons for a group of revolutionaries vanishes, and during his search, Dani finds Crime Claw’s underground laboratory – as well as an unlikely ally: Machado.

Together, they uncover the mysterious deaths of the ingenious inventor Victor Armond and his assistant, Helena. All the evidence suggested that Victor was the Crime Claw – from his ingenious inventions to the hidden laboratory buried within the Armond family tombs.

In the end, Dani and Machado flood the tunnel galleries, forcing a confrontation and revealing the criminal’s true identity: Crime Claw was Helena.
